Back in 2016 I was thrilled to acquire a reissue of the Minimoog. I’m BEYOND thrilled now that I’ve re-finished the cabinet. The 2016 version had a rather bland finish which didn’t really show off the grain… so what started as “I wonder how hard it would be to take it apart” quickly escalated to “there’s no going back now”… and after sanding the cabinet back to bare wood, applying three coats of dark walnut stain, and three coats of satin polyurethane… here we are.
