Brief

Boredbrain needed photorealistic product imagery for the Xcelon SL, their new performance mixer. As someone who spends an arguably unreasonable amount of time around synthesizers and audio gear, this was a particularly welcome collision of interests.

SOLUTION

No need for a high-concept approach on this one—the hardware was already doing the heavy lifting. Precise product modeling in Cinema 4D, careful lighting and materials, and photorealistic rendering in Redshift. The goal was simply to make a very real piece of hardware look as good in pixels as it does in person.
